It is with great joy that we announce that the 2021 St. John Chrysostom Oratorical Festival will be taking place this year across all levels.

The oratorical festival has been, and continues to be a vital part of our student’s religious education for over two decades. In the words of St. Theophan the Recluse, “Of all holy works, the education of children is the most holy.” There is “no finer way to embark on such a worthwhile ministry,” than to have our youth participate in the St. John Chrysostom Oratorical Festival. The festival not only helps our students to apply Orthodox Teachings in their lives, but also helps them learn how to express themselves.

The Oratorical Festival will take place after liturgy on Sunday, March 14th at 4:00pm. Junior and Senior student presentations will be in the Church, following COVID prevention guidelines. The elementary division will remain fully virtual, and we respectfully ask the rest of the community to join us virtually as we celebrate together.

Please note: We strongly prefer that parents join the call, or remain within earshot. You play an integral role in your child’s festival performance, and like any type of teaching, whether music, sports, or speaking, your participation will be a huge benefit. If you are not able to make it, we will make sure that one or more of our committee members are on the call per the current Child Safety Policies.
