  • About HOPE & JOY

Purpose and Mission of  HOPE & JOY:

HOPE stands for Holy Orthodox Primary Education and JOY stands for Junior Orthodox Youth. The purpose and mission of HOPE & JOY is for families of children (Ages 4 to 12) to have fun and to build a strong connection with their Orthodox Christian Faith, Family and Friends through fun activities including, sports, Greek-dancing, crafts, outreach projects, faith enrichment, social events and much more. We meet on select evenings for a family style dinner, with an Orthodox Lesson and fun activities for the children.

Children ages 4-7 are considered H.O.P.E., and children ages 8-11 (or 12 and in 6th grade) are considered J.O.Y.

Our current H.O.P.E. and J.O.Y. advisors are: Liana Vassila, Evonne Marinakis, Mike Konstantopoulos, Eleni Siampli, Abraham Sisson, Maria Valmas, and Zina Varelas

Our mission is to nurture a warm and supportive community where children and parents alike can build meaningful relationships, grow in the Orthodox Christian Faith, and experience the joy of belonging to a caring and vibrant community. Through our fun activities and social events, your family will have the opportunity to make new friends and feel connected to others who share similar values.
