The Greek Orthodox Church of Saint George shares your joy at your upcoming celebration of the Sacrament of Holy Marriage. It is a symbol of Christ’s own love for His Church. It is also a sacred union that joins you together for life.
Please provide the following:
- Online Wedding Form
- Copy of Baptismal Certificates for both the bride and groom
- The Sponsor(s) must be Orthodox Christians in Good Standing. If they are not Stewards of St. George, they MUST obtain a letter from the Priest of their home parish affirming that they are in good standing. The letter must be received at least 1 week prior to the date of Wedding, emailed to frpeter@stgeorge.org and frtim@stgeorge.org, or mailed to the Church.
- If either the bride or groom were previously married, please complete the Supplemental Form 165 and email to frpeter@stgeorge.org and frtim@stgeorge.org.
- Send in 3 copies of the Civil Marriage License from the State of Maryland.
