The fasting period prior to the Feast of the Holy Apostles St. Peter and St. Paul begins today, Monday, June 20 and ends on the Feast, June 29. These two great Apostles were key to the reception of the Gospel and the growth of Orthoodox Christianity throughout the then-known world. We honor Peter, the rock upon whom Jesus Himself established the Church, and Paul, the great evangelizer, whose missionary journies carried the Good News of redemption and salvation in Christ to all peoples.
