Please find attached below the St. George Bulletin for Sunday, March 13, The Sunday of Orthodoxy. On this Sunday, every year, we commemorate the victory of the icons over those who wished to eliminate them from Orthodox usage.(iconophiles vs. iconoclasts). Leading the defense of icons at the 7th Ecumenical Council was our holy father St. John of Damascus. It was because of his holy persuasion and defense that the icons are venerated to this day and carried in procession around the Temple on the first Sunday of Great Lent.
