| This Sunday is Vasilopita Sunday when we mark the New Year and honor our Holy Father St. Basil the Great. As is our custom, a tray will be passed by Philoptochos to benefit the ministry of the Academy. Saint Basil Academy is the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese home for children in need. The academy provides a loving Christian environment where resident children are nurtured to adulthood. Please find it in your generosity to help these children, our brothers and sisters Let us be mindful of the Lord’s admonition to us: . “Suffer the children to come unto me, for it is to such as these that the Kingdom of Heaven belongs!” (Matthew 19) |
