Sophia Diane Ward (nee Maroules), fell asleep in the Lord surrounded with love on January 14, 2022. She is the beloved wife of Robert Ward, loving daughter of Harriet Maroules and the late John Maroules. She was the beloved sister of Efrem (Beth) Maroules and Kristina Cherished sister-in-law of Margaret (Earl) Gamache, Patty Ethridge and Dan (Beth) Ward. Sophia is also survived by a host of many loving nieces and nephews, and an abundance of adoring extended family and friends.
Arrangements: Relatives and friends are welcome on Friday, January 21, 2022, for the viewing at 10:00am and the funeral at 11:00am at Saints Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Church of Washington, D.C., 721 Norwood Road, Silver Spring, MD 20905. Interment will immediately follow at All Souls Cemetery, Germantown, Maryland.
