Our brother George Michael Kapsilis fell asleep in the Lord on December 30, 2021 in the 88th year of his earthly life. Born in Chios, Greece to Michael and Artemis Kapsilis, George graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in 1960 with a degree in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering. He then received his Master of Science degree in 1964 at Stevens Institute of Technology.
He is survived by his loving wife, Lemonia (Leoni), children, Michael Kapsilis (Andrea), Artemis Agritellis (George), and four grandsons, Christopher, Simo, George and Alekos.
Friends and family are welcome for viewing on Tuesday, January 4, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM here at St. George. The Funeral Service will follow at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you consider a donation to the St. George Greek School here at the St. George Greek Orthodox Church as George was one of the founding board members and a believer in education. COVID protocols will be followed during the services in Church (masks, distancing).
