Our “Race to 400” to burn our $400,000 mortgage debt continues. We are getting very close, but we still have $119,831 to go! Let’s get this done by the end of the year!
You can donate online, on the St. George app at Give > Burn the Mortgage Fundraiser, by check with “Burn the Mortgage” in the memo, or stop by our table during coffee hour to swipe your credit card. Parishioners have also supported through the Christmas Experience and loukoumathes purchases. Help St. George become debt-free!

BIBLE STUDY
Book Study resumes on Thursdays at the usual times (10:30 AM and 7:00 PM). We will begin with an open discussion about exactly what you feel it means to have an “Orthodox mindset.” We will then go on to the Introduction, and Chapters 1 through 3. I very much look forward to studying the text with you and to help you come to a greater sense that you, too, have the Orthodox phronema. For additional information, contact Chrysostomos atcgunning@stgeorge.org.
The Truth About Orthodox Christianity and Thanksgiving
The Truth About Light and Darkness
It’s the darkest time of year, literally, as we approach Christmas. Yet this is the time of year when Christ, the “Light of Light” enters our world, bringing His Light to defeat the darkness of evil and our inner darkness (which we all have whether we admit or not). How do overcome it and find our way to Christ the Light? We will address these questions and discuss how we can find our way to the Light no matter what darkness we are in.
The Mission Team is now taking registrations for the 2022 summer mission trip to Appalachia which will be held July 10-17th. Both St. George and Appalachia Service Project are taking safety precautions to ensure a meaningful and safe trip for all. Please contact Athena Kaiser either by text or email for additional information, avkmail@verizon.netor 240-498-0870.
