BURN THE MORTGAGE CAMPAIGN: The St. George Parish Council has launched a “Race to 400K” drive to burn our $400,000 mortgage debt. Eliminating the debt also eliminates $86,000 in debt service expenses that can be freed up for system updates, facility improvements, and other church initiatives. Calling for Christmas Tree Decorator Volunteers!

PRESCHOOL PLAYGROUND BLESSING: On behalf of the Preschool Board, we are excited to announce Fr. Dimitrios will offer a blessing for the new playground this Sunday, Nov. 21, after Liturgy. We would like to thank all of our donors for their generosity and especially the Nelson family for kicking off the playground campaign. The new playground will serve the children and families at St. George for decades to come and is a powerful symbol of a community with a caring soul and a devoted heart. SUNDAY SCHOOL:

On Sunday, the 6th grade Sunday School students will offer an artoklasia at the chapel. The students will prepare the artos Friday evening at the church during the Hope and Joy event. A lesson on the artoklasia will be offered Friday evening.

Sunday school is organizing a food drive to support 100 children that receive weekly supplies from St John the Merciful Orthodox Mission Center in D.C. Food collection will be on December 5, 2021 at the entrance of the Grand Hall. A list with specific items to donate will be distributed on Sunday November 21st.

The Sunday School Christmas tree theme is “A Life of Offering” and will be in memory of Joanne Olsen. Every student is asked to bring an ornament they have created presenting an Orthodox Christian that has dedicated their life to Christ offering comfort to those in need in orthodox missions from around the world.


YOUTH NATIVITY RETREAT: Please join us for a GOYA aged Orthodox Youth Nativity Retreat held here at St. George on Saturday, Dec. 4 from 11AM – 4 PM.
