Wednesday, September 1, is the Beginning of the New Ecclesiastical Year. Orthros will be at 8:30 AM followed by the Divine Liturgy and Blessing of Waters at 9:30 AM.
The Ecclesiastical Year follows the life of the Lord Jesus Christ as the history of Salvation unfolds in the events and preaching of which He was a part. It also reminds us Orthodox believers that all time is sacred and consecrated to the service of God who loves us. The new Church year is more than the passing of time (chronos), it is another opportunity to come closer to God, to feel His love, grow in our spiritual life, and experience time as kairos -- a saving moment of decision and action for Christ. Join us for this celebration.
