PARISH ACTIVITIES

First, we would like to thank the community for the incredible turnout and generous donations for our car wash July 18th. In addition, we are pleased to announce that we were able to prepare 101 school bags for the IOCC which will be sent to needy children in Greece.

We have 2 additional projects that we are working on this summer:

  1.  We feel that it’s time to give back to our own church with a landscaping project July 31st and August 1st. Any community members who would like to lend a hand would be greatly appreciated. There are 3 time slots available to assist. Open the link below to sign up:

  1. Our team will be collecting school supply/backpack donations and passing them onto Volunteers of America who will distribute them to local communities to help kids succeed. We have drop off boxes at the entrance to the church closest to the gym for supplies. The deadline for donating is August 15th.

Please contact Athena Kaiser at avkmail@verizon.net or text/call 240-498-0870 with any questions.

Please join the St. George community after church on Sunday, August 15th to celebrate the Dormition of our most Holy Theotokos with a traditional Greek-style Panigiri (including Greek food, music, and dance)!

Feel free to share this with family and friends and if there are any questions, please reach out to YAL@stgeorge.org.

We look forward to seeing everyone!

*Note: Food will be sold on a first come, first serve basis and all profits made will go towards future St. George church projects and programs.

Thank you! - The St. George YAL Panigiri Planning Committee
