| It is with sadness but hope in the Resurrected Lord, that I share the news of the passing of Rev. Fr. Demetri Tsigas, who recently served St. Katherine Church in Melbourne, Florida. Father reposed last Wednesday, the feast of the Great Martyr St. Katherine of Alexandria, patron of the parish he faithfully served. He is survived by his beloved wife, Presvytera Eleni Zuras (a child of our St. George faith community) sons, Jordan and Jonathon. His in-laws Jo Ann and Peter Zuras, Stephanie (Bill) Kutson) and Dean (Katja) Zuras. Fr. Demetri was a son of the Metropolis of New Jersey and was the son of Fr. Konstantine and Presvytera Spyridoula Tsigas. Fr. Demetri served as Youth Director of the Metropolis of New Jersey. He will be laid to rest on December 2, at the Church of St. Katherine, in Melbourne, FL May God grant unto His servant, the Priest Demetri, holy repose and the blessing of standing with the Christ the High Priest at the Heavenly Altar.
