Divine Liturgy: Sunday, October 18, 2020

ORTHROS 8:30 AM and DIVINE LITURGY 9:30 AM

As we heard in last Sunday’s Gospel from St. Luke in the parable of the Sower and the Seed, God comes to all of us in many and varied ways. The questions for us are do we see Him and how do we receive Him? Seeing God come to us in love is proof positive that He always pursues us, finds us out, and wraps the arms of His eternal mercy around us. Thanks be to God, this coming Sunday we have such a gift and grace from God!

As Orthodox Christians we live our faith and worship in the real world of our faith community — the Church. For the past six months, however, we have lived it in the far less satisfying atmosphere of “virtual reality.” We thank God that we have this gift available to us. We praise God in great joy that in compliance with Montgomery County Regulations, we are able to further expand participation and attendance at the Divine Liturgy in both the main Sanctuary and Chapel. If you’re able, please come join us as we continue to participate in greater numbers and to nurture and grow in our spiritual life and faith. Live-streaming will remain an option for those unable to join us. To safely accommodate the faithful, parishioners planning to attend must register in advance. Those without computer access must contact Chrysostomos Gunning at (301) 453-7281 so we may reserve your seat.

If you register to attend Divine Liturgy on Sunday, and are subsequently unable to attend, we urge you to notify the Church Office at (301) 453-7281 or cgunning@stgeorge.org. This way, your registered seats can be made available to your fellow parishioners on the waiting list.
