Dear Saint George Family,

I write to inform you that our Pastoral Assistant and Director of Youth Ministries, Simeon Pardalis, is leaving St. George. At the invitation of His Eminence Metropolitan Alexios, he will be moving to the Holy Metropolis of Atlanta, to Tarpon Springs, Florida, and Holy Trinity Church, where he will be ordained a Deacon on October 17, followed on October 18 by his ordination to the Holy Priesthood. He will accept assignment to Holy Trinity as an Assistant Priest.

On your behalf, I thank Simeon, his wife Stavroula and their children for the service to our parish that he provided.  As he begins the formal ministry of the priesthood, we pledge to him our fervent prayers. Likewise, we pray for the faith community of Holy Trinity, that they may support Simeon in all his efforts to minister and serve them.

Simeon’s last day at St. George will be this Sunday, October 4. I ask all who will attend Divine Services to join me in wishing him well and in commending him to the care of Christ the High Priest, that his servant leadership may resound to the glory of God and the building up of the Body of Christ, the Holy Church. Axios!

Faithfully in the Lord,

Rev. Dimitrios J. Antokas
Presiding Priest
