| Our sister Demetra Economos Anas fell asleep in the Lord on August 27 in the 59th year of her earthly life. She is survived by her beloved husband of 32 years, Peter, and her children Georgia Giamalis (Matthew), and Sam Anas. She leaves, as well, her dear mother Lou Economos. In addition, she is survived by her brother Gregory Economos (Brad), her sister Themis Johnson, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, and many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to St. George Greek Orthodox Church. A viewing will be held Tuesday, September 1 at 5:30 PM at Gawler’s Funeral Home, Washington, DC and the Funeral Service will take place at St. George and will be streamed online at 9:30 AM on Wednesday, September 2 at https://youtu.be/- May the handmaid of God, Demetra, rest in peace and rise in glory, and may her memory be eternal! |
