| Dear St. George 2020 Graduates of High School, University, Graduate and Postgraduate Studies,
Christ is Risen! Truly He is Risen! – Χριστ?ς Αν?στη! Αληθ?ς Αν?στη! Your upcoming graduation can truly be called “historic.” It is not only about your academic achievement and the hard work each of you put into it, it is also occurring during a global pandemic which, I’m certain, has been on your minds as well. Even though it occurred later in your final academic year, it is a challenge that you face and I truly admire the way you persisted and showed determination in dealing with it! It is a Saint George family tradition to celebrate the achievement with you on Graduation Sunday, following Divine Liturgy. Unfortunately, due to the current public health situation, we must postpone the event as we have done with other parish activities – including our public liturgies. Presently it is unknown to us how or when we will celebrate your graduation but we do know that we WILL celebrate it joyfully with you! In the meantime, please help us prepare for this celebration of Graduation Sunday by registering your graduation with us at the following link: https://stgeorge.ccbchurch. Never lose hope and always have courage, this darkness will pass and the light of Christ’s rising will endure. Remember the words from the Gospel of St. John: “The light shined n the darkness and the darkness could not overcome it.” Take genuine pride in your achievement knowing it is the beginning of yet another chapter in your promising life. May the Light of the Risen Christ bless and keep you and your families this day and forevermore! Christ is Risen! Faithfully yours in the Risen Lord, Fr.
