Saturday, March 28, 2020 Fourth Saturday of Lent Dear St. George Family, I pray this letter finds you and your families well. Even though we have not seen each other in church over these past weeks, I know that your spirit is with me during the Divine Liturgy, even as we are live streaming the Church Services. The church extends beyond the four walls of the Church building, the Church is within the four walls of your home. St. John Chrysostom, in his 20th Homily on St. Paul’s Epistle the Ephesians, tells us clearly that “… indeed a house is a little Church…” One way to turn our home as a small Church, is to continue Sunday School religious education at home, both on Sundays and throughout the entire week with the whole family. The Department of Religious Education of our Archdiocese (DRE) has begun providing “Religious Education at Home” lessons, that covers age groups from PreK to High School and even to Adults, providing activities, crafts, and discussion questions which can be made use for your family’s spiritual growth and to keep them connected with the Church, even though we are physically separated for now. Truly this is for everyone! The “Religious Education at Home” lessons can be found at the Department’s website: https://www.goarch. Fr. Anton Vrame, Director of the Archdiocese Department of Religious Education, has also included a lesson for tomorrow, the Fourth Sunday of Lent, Remembering Saint John Climacus (of the Ladder): https://www.goarch. My beloved, please know that you are all in my prayers and please keep me in yours. Faithfully yours, Fr. Dimitrios |
