Brothers and Sisters in the Lord:

As you are aware, the partial shutdown of the federal government is increasingly causing much hardship in the lives of countless people across our country.  Locally, we have many federal employees who are struggling to make ends meet.  Firstly, let us pray that things return to regular order soon and that the burdens placed on people might be lifted from their backs. Secondly, I want to offer the assistance of our parish to any of our number and their families who find themselves in growing hardship or distress. We are here for you and will be through the duration. As you have supported us by your presence and stewardship, so we are here to help you in this hour of need.
