Last week we explored what it means to encounter the Divine Presence and share our personal experiences of the presence of Christ in our lives. But what does it feel like when God seems absent from us? Is it even possible for this to be so? Many Christians, clergy and laity alike, from ancient to modern times, have described periods in their life of pain and suffering when God seemed distant and remote, or not there at all. This week we will explore this topic and share our experiences of when God seems absent and what we did (and can do) to get through these rough periods in our spiritual lives.Time: 11:30 – 12:30
